Skywatchers, Take Note
Joe Rao of msnbc gives you some pointers for May skywatching. Look for the international space station, coming to North American skies this month. A second red spot has appeared on Jupiter. You can see the larger Great Red Spot just on the terminator over on the left. "Red Junior" is a bit closer to the pole, just to the right of center. Also some debris from Halley's Comet trashed the earth's atmosphere last night. I missed Astronomy Day yesterday. Drat. I would've posted in it had I known.
