Golden Jubilee Begins
Our diocesan jubilee began yesterday. In 1956, the dioceses of Missouri were reorganized. Jefferson City and Springfield-Cape Girardeau were formed, and the old sees of St Joseph and Kansas City were merged. Even though both dioceses date to the 19th century, as a unit, we're only 50 years old. They might have chipped something off old St Louis ... maybe Cape Girardeau. If any St Louis Catholics are reading in, let me know. Diocesan choir in action.
